About The Creator

Anna Holden
I'm Anna; chronically ill warlock perpetually out of spell slots. I am the creator of DnD Disability, and really, this is my passion project. My journey with disability began in 2020 when I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia, as well as autism. This diagnosis and learning how to live with my disability led to learning all about disability in media, games, and more - which led to me becoming extremely passionate about disability representation. I got more involved in that, particularly in DnD. When I started playing my first disabled character, Yen, with some quickly thrown together chronic pain mechanics - I realized that this is something I wanted to work on and share. As the project grew, so did my disability diagnoses, and in 2021 I developed both Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS) and Gastroparesis. Disability is a significant part of my life, and advocating for myself and disability in this space has become important to me.
Outside of DnD Disability, I am also a dice maker at Three Fates Dice! This is my full time job. I make dice, as well as have a fun array of dice and dnd themed stationery. This job allows me to work around my disabilities, since I can no longer work "normal" jobs. When I'm not working on one job or the other, I am probably occupied with my spiciest show line working German Shepherd that I do sports with.
I don't know where this project will go in the future, but I'm already so proud of what has been accomplished and thrilled about the many amazing people I've met or worked with through this, and I hope to be able to do this for a long time.
